Job Description
The HR Officer will provide effective human resources support across recruitment, employee relations, personnel administration, performance management, training and employee records, while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable Nigerian employment regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding and mobilisation of employees.
- Manage employee records, personnel documentation and HR databases.
- Support workforce planning and manpower requirements for projects and operations.
- Coordinate employee movements, rotations, leave, attendance and personnel schedules.
- Support payroll inputs, benefits administration and employee welfare activities.
- Handle employee enquiries and support the resolution of workplace issues.
- Coordinate performance management, appraisals, training and development activities.
- Ensure HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented.
- Support disciplinary, grievance, exit and separation processes.
- Maintain compliance with applicable Nigerian labour, employment and Oil & Gas requirements.
- Prepare HR reports, workforce statistics and management reports.
- Liaise with employees, management, clients, contractors and external service providers.
- Support audits, inspections and HR documentation requirements.
Qualifications
- B.Sc./HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
- 5–7 years’ relevant HR experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Professional HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM or HRCI is an advantage.
- Experience in manpower planning, recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.
- Knowledge of Nigerian labour and employment regulations.
- Experience supporting offshore, project-based or rotational workforces is an advantage.
