The company is recruiting to fill the position of Driver – 6-Tyre Mini Trucks and Bus in Oshodi, Lagos State.
Job Summary
The Driver will be responsible for operating mini trucks with six tyres and buses to support the company’s transportation and distribution activities. The successful candidate will ensure the safe transportation of goods and passengers, where applicable, comply with traffic regulations, maintain accurate vehicle records, and keep assigned vehicles in good working condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Vehicle Inspection: Conduct routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the assigned vehicle is roadworthy.
- Cargo Handling: Ensure goods are handled and transported safely, where applicable.
- Route Planning and Navigation: Plan suitable routes and follow delivery schedules to ensure timely transportation.
- Safe Driving: Operate assigned mini trucks or buses responsibly, prioritising the safety of passengers, goods, and other road users.
- Loading and Unloading: Assist with or supervise the safe loading and unloading of goods, where required.
- Documentation and Logs: Maintain accurate records of trips, deliveries, fuel consumption, mileage, and other relevant vehicle activities.
- Compliance with Traffic Rules: Obey traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company driving policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Keep the assigned vehicle clean, monitor its condition, and promptly report mechanical faults or maintenance needs.
- Report accidents, delays, breakdowns, and other incidents to the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensure that delivery documents and other required records are properly handled.
Qualifications and Experience
- 1–3 years of driving experience.
- Must possess a valid driver’s licence appropriate for the assigned vehicle.
- Experience driving mini trucks, six-tyre trucks, or buses is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Lagos roads and surrounding areas.
- Ability to follow delivery schedules and maintain accurate records.
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Work Schedule
- Working days: Monday to Saturday, including public holidays.
- Working hours: 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
