Job Summary:
The Compliance Recovery Officer (Banking) will play a critical role in ensuring that the company’s debt recovery processes comply with legal and regulatory requirements. This position involves conducting internal audits, managing debt recovery strategies, and collaborating with clients and legal teams to resolve outstanding debts ethically and efficiently. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for training staff on compliance-related matters and mitigating potential risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regularly review and monitor the company’s recovery processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct internal audits to identify potential compliance risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Implement and manage the company’s debt recovery strategies, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Liaise with clients, customers, and legal teams to resolve outstanding debts while maintaining ethical standards.
- Identify areas of non-compliance or potential risks in recovery operations and recommend solutions to mitigate these risks.
- Train staff on compliance-related matters to ensure the company’s recovery operations meet all legal standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in compliance, debt recovery, or a related field.
- Professional certifications are an added advantage.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Charismatic, confident, and possesses excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in using compliance management and recovery software.
