Job Summary
Talenture Group is recruiting a Finance Intern to support the Finance Manager with bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and other day-to-day finance operations. This opportunity is ideal for recent Accounting graduates or NYSC members looking to gain practical experience across the full accounting cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Assist in preparing financial statements and monthly financial reports.
- Maintain accurate accounting records, ledgers, and filing systems.
- Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Record financial transactions and update accounting spreadsheets or accounting software.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records under supervision.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
- Assist with preparing and processing invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers.
- Support payroll processing and expense management when required.
- Assist with expense tracking and verification of supporting documents.
- Prepare basic financial reports and schedules as assigned.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities.
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Ensure the confidentiality of financial records and sensitive information.
- Provide support during audits and compliance checks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Accountancy.
- Must be a current NYSC corps member or have recently completed NYSC.
- Foundational knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets and familiarity with accounting software.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to ad-hoc finance projects.
