The HR Business Partner will play a strategic role in aligning human resource initiatives with business objectives. Working closely with executive leadership and key stakeholders, the successful candidate will drive workforce planning, talent management, organisational development, employee engagement, and HR transformation initiatives while ensuring HR operations effectively support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Partner with senior executives to align HR strategies with business priorities.
  • Lead organisational design, restructuring, and change management initiatives.
  • Develop and implement HR policies that promote a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and IT teams to improve HR processes and workforce planning.
  • Manage HR transformation projects, including performance management system implementations.
  • Provide strategic advice to business leaders on workforce planning, retention, and succession planning.
  • Deliver HR analytics and insights to support business decisions.

Talent Management

  • Oversee recruitment for critical positions.
  • Develop succession planning and leadership development programmes.
  • Design retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Identify future workforce needs through talent forecasting and skills gap analysis.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Resolve complex employee relations and disciplinary matters.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, HR policies, and industry regulations.
  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and a respectful workplace culture.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and wellbeing programmes.

Performance Management & Rewards

  • Drive performance management processes across business units.
  • Coach managers on performance reviews, goal setting, and employee development.
  • Partner with Compensation and Benefits teams to develop competitive reward programmes.

Learning & Organisational Development

  • Identify learning needs and coordinate training programmes.
  • Facilitate leadership development and team-building initiatives.
  • Support continuous capability development across the organisation.

HR Operations & Analytics

  • Improve HR processes using digital solutions.
  • Maintain HR data accuracy and reporting standards.
  • Track HR performance metrics, including turnover, recruitment, and employee engagement.
  • Monitor HR budgets and vendor relationships to ensure operational efficiency.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor to managers and employees.
  • Work closely with HR Centres of Excellence to deliver integrated HR services.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders to support organisational success.

Requirements

Applicants should possess:

  • A First Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • A Master’s Degree or recognised professional HR qualification (mandatory).
  • Minimum of eight (8) years’ HR experience, including at least four (4) years in a leadership role.
  • Experience within the banking, telecommunications, oil & gas, or FMCG sectors.
  • Strong understanding of banking operations, customer segmentation, sales management, and business strategy.
