About the Role
Navitas is seeking an enthusiastic and performance-driven Area Manager to lead student recruitment growth, market development, and strategic partnerships across Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving enrolment targets, expanding market presence, and strengthening relationships with education agents, educational institutions, and other key stakeholders. The role will work closely with recruitment, marketing, admissions, operations, and the Global Student Services Centre (GSSC).
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and Market Growth
- Drive student recruitment growth by achieving enrolment, revenue, and market expansion targets.
- Develop and implement territory-specific recruitment and market development plans.
- Identify emerging market opportunities, competitor activity, and student demand.
- Provide market intelligence to support sustainable growth.
- Lead the development of UniStart International Foundation Year partnerships, including partner identification, qualification, site visits, and onboarding.
Agent and Partner Management
- Build, maintain, and grow relationships with education agents and channel partners.
- Conduct regular partner engagement, training, business planning, and performance reviews.
- Identify, onboard, and develop strategic recruitment partners.
- Ensure compliance with Navitas policies, quality standards, and recruitment processes.
- Work with the GSSC to support application processing, admissions, conversion, and student enquiries.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent Navitas at recruitment fairs, seminars, school visits, industry events, and partner meetings.
- Build relationships with schools, universities, counsellors, and other education stakeholders.
- Conduct presentations, training, and engagement activities to strengthen the student recruitment pipeline.
- Promote Navitas programmes and partner institutions as a brand ambassador.
Business Development and Student Success
- Identify new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
- Contribute to strategic planning and innovative recruitment initiatives.
- Provide market intelligence and data-driven business recommendations.
- Support improved student satisfaction, conversion, retention, and progression.
- Collaborate with internal teams and the GSSC to provide a seamless student experience.
Data Analysis, Reporting and Compliance
- Analyse recruitment performance, market intelligence, partner activity, and pipeline trends.
- Use CRM systems and reporting tools to maintain accurate records.
- Monitor recruitment activities and provide regular performance insights.
- Ensure compliance with institutional, regulatory, and visa requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market conditions, immigration policies, and education-sector developments.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, International Relations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the international education sector.
- Experience in student recruitment, business development, sales, or partnership management.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, CRM, and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
Desirable
- Experience in international higher education, pathway education, or student mobility.
- Knowledge of visa requirements and international student recruitment processes.
- Established networks within Nigeria’s education, counselling, or agent community.
- Experience working in a multinational or matrix environment.
