RMB is recruiting a Finance Manager, Asset Management to oversee financial and management reporting for its Asset Management business. The role covers regulatory, management and statutory reporting, business partnering, budgeting and forecasting, tax remittances, financial controls and other finance-related responsibilities.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Preparing monthly, quarterly and semi-annual regulatory returns to the SEC for the business and all managed funds and portfolios.
Coordinating internal and external audits and preparing audited financial statements for the business and managed funds.
Monitoring and tracking the performance of managed funds and portfolios.
Preparing monthly Exco reports, quarterly board reports, management reports and other ad hoc reports.
Preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts and overseeing budget monitoring and control.
Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of the General Ledger.
Preparing month-end journals and performing periodic General Ledger substantiation and reconciliations.
Coordinating internal, regulatory and statutory tax audits.
Liaising with external auditors, SEC and other relevant regulators.
Preparing monthly WHT, VAT and other tax returns and ensuring timely remittance.
Ensuring appropriate financial controls across accounting processes and new product development.
Liaising with internal and external service providers and managing service level agreements.
Performing additional duties as directed by the CFO.

Requirements

Candidates should have:

A relevant university Degree in Accounting, Business or Finance.
Qualification as a Chartered Accountant.
ACCA or ICAN qualification.
At least 10 years of accounting experience, preferably within an asset management company.
At least 10 years of working experience in the capital markets, preferably with a SEC-licensed Fund or Portfolio Manager.
Strong full-cycle financial reporting knowledge.
Ability to analyse financial data, prepare reports and process documentation.
Experience with the Infoware system is an added advantage.
Good knowledge of financial statements and finance operations.
Good understanding of regulatory reporting requirements.
Good understanding of IFRS and its applications.
Proficiency in computerised accounting systems, Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
Good understanding of the asset management industry.
Strong analytical, planning, prioritisation and execution skills.
Good judgement and decision-making skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
High levels of ethics, numeracy and literacy.
