Job Purpose
To ensure that the company maintains a strong talent pipeline by sourcing and acquiring qualified candidates for present and future workforce needs across its business divisions.
Core Responsibilities
Recruitment and Resource Planning
- Provide qualified candidates for all vacancies within the assigned business division.
- Ensure only credible and suitable employees are recruited.
- Coordinate talent requirements and availability for the business division.
- Ensure staff onboarding and provide employees with the work tools and conditions required for excellent performance.
- Ensure the HR Reporting Matrix is maintained, monitor the labour value of the division and ensure employees’ contributions have a positive impact on the company.
Recruitment Documentation and Activities
- Ensure all recruitment activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Manage the recruitment process, ensuring vacant roles are budgeted for or supported by an employee request form where necessary.
- Place job vacancies and coordinate interviews, including personality assessment programmes for stores.
- Manage candidate care programmes and coordinate required medical checks, including food handler tests.
- Maintain recruitment documentation and conduct required checks, including personal biodata forms, guarantor checks and reference checks.
- Manage onboarding documentation, including acknowledgement of the staff handbook, Code of Business Conduct and other required documents.
- Maintain the HR Spicy Box containing relevant information required for store openings.
- Verify information supplied by candidates and issue offer letters.
- Ensure employees have the work tools and conditions required to enhance performance.
- Prepare recruitment reports, including recruitment trackers, workforce planning reports, time-to-fill vacancy trackers and family tree updates.
Recruitment and Selection Process
- Build candidate talent pipelines through targeted recruitment campaigns, internet searches, networking groups, social media, database searches, referrals and advertising.
- Maintain an applicant tracking process that ensures quality candidates are shortlisted promptly and within budget.
- Conduct thorough pre-screening of candidates as required and provide detailed documentation and recommendations to line managers.
- Manage new employee orientation programmes to promote positive attitudes towards company goals.
- Maintain a reporting system showing vacancies filled against the budgeted headcount for each business division.
- Maintain internal and external talent pipelines for each business division, including CV pools and ready-to-hire candidates.
- Ensure compliance with government labour laws relating to recruitment processes and practices.
- Ensure employees and expatriates are aware of applicable government laws and comply with them appropriately.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal control processes and approved procedures.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned from time to time.

- Minimum of 3–5 years’ working experience in the retail business or a related industry.

Working Conditions
