Jubaili Bros Engineering Limited is recruiting a technically competent and hands-on Assembly Technician to join its Genset Assembly & Test Bay Department in Lagos.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting and preparing diesel and gas generator sets for testing while ensuring compliance with technical specifications, quality standards and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble diesel and gas generator sets according to technical specifications, engineering drawings and established procedures.
• Install and fit engines, alternators, radiators, control panels, batteries, exhaust systems and other generator components.
• Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, fastening and basic electrical connections as required.
• Support generator testing and commissioning activities within the test bay.
• Conduct pre-test inspections to verify correct component installation and assembly quality.
• Identify and report defective components, assembly errors and technical discrepancies.
• Ensure all assembly and testing activities comply with quality requirements and health and safety standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment and keep the workshop clean and organised.
• Collaborate with production, quality control and technical teams to achieve production targets.

Requirements

• An OND, Trade Test Certificate or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in generator assembly, mechanical fitting, equipment installation or a similar technical workshop environment is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of generator set components, diesel and gas engines, and mechanical assembly procedures.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools and basic measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail, practical problem-solving skills and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet production schedules.
