Job Description
The Executive Lounge Associate will provide professional, courteous and personalised service to guests while maintaining high standards of food and beverage service, cleanliness and hospitality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Welcome Executive Lounge guests warmly, respond promptly to enquiries and requests, anticipate their needs and handle complaints professionally.
- Serve and replenish food, beverages and refreshments in line with hotel service standards.
- Maintain attractive buffet displays, beverage stations and service areas, ensuring supplies are adequately stocked throughout service periods.
- Prepare tables, buffet displays and service stations before service and keep the lounge clean, organised and guest-ready.
- Maintain the cleanliness of furniture, equipment, crockery, cutlery, glassware and other operating supplies.
- Observe food safety, personal hygiene, sanitation and workplace safety standards, reporting any hygiene concerns or equipment faults promptly.
- Monitor food, beverage and operating supplies, report shortages and wastage, and handle hotel property responsibly.
- Coordinate effectively with the Executive Lounge Supervisor, Kitchen, Stewarding, Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Participate in departmental briefings, handovers, training sessions, performance reviews and meetings as required.
- Comply with hotel policies, standard operating procedures, grooming standards and attendance requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor or Management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A B.Sc., diploma or certificate in Hospitality Management, Food and Beverage Service or a related discipline is an advantage.
- At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in food and beverage service, preferably in an upscale hotel, executive lounge, restaurant or similar hospitality environment.
- Good spoken and written English skills. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- A valid Food Handlers Test is mandatory.
- Food safety, hygiene or hospitality service certifications are an added advantage.
