Job Summary
Wellspring College is seeking an innovative, passionate and results-driven ICT Teacher to join its academic team in Lagos.
The successful candidate will teach Information and Communication Technology (ICT), equip students with essential digital knowledge and practical technology skills, and prepare them for excellent performance in external examinations.
The role also involves promoting critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity and digital literacy through engaging classroom instruction and effective use of technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons in line with the college’s curriculum and recognised teaching practices.
- Prepare students for external examinations, with a focus on achieving outstanding academic results.
- Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning activities.
- Assess, monitor and evaluate students’ academic progress, providing timely feedback and additional support where necessary.
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages creativity, innovation and digital literacy.
- Maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance and progress.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, professional development programmes and other college activities.
- Contribute to students’ holistic development through mentorship and positive role modelling.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the college management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, ICT Education or a related discipline.
- A recognised teaching qualification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of seven years’ teaching experience, preferably in a reputable college.
