Job Description
Polaris Bank Limited is seeking an experienced Commercial Banking Officer to develop and manage commercial client relationships, identify business opportunities, provide tailored financial solutions, and support sustainable portfolio growth while maintaining strong risk management and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with commercial clients by understanding their business needs and providing tailored banking solutions.
- Build trusted advisory relationships with clients and create long-term value through effective financial solutions.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and business viability assessments, including reviews of financial statements and cash flow projections.
- Prepare credit proposals that balance client requirements with the bank’s risk parameters.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities to expand the bank’s commercial customer base.
- Anticipate client needs and recommend appropriate financial products to support business growth and operational efficiency.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signs of potential risks.
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations, policies, and industry best practices.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver effective financial solutions and a positive client experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in commercial banking or corporate lending.
- Proven experience in credit analysis, portfolio management, and business development.
- Strong knowledge of commercial banking products and the regulatory environment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
