Job Description
PalmPay is seeking a Field Anti-Fraud Officer to support its SME business in identifying, investigating and preventing fraud associated with field sales and merchant activities.
The successful candidate will investigate cases involving Business Developers (BDs), agents and merchants, including suspected collusion, merchant deception, manipulation of business information, unauthorised activities, fraudulent onboarding and other misconduct that could result in financial losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate suspected fraud involving BDs, agents, merchants and other field-facing personnel.
- Conduct field visits to verify merchant businesses, locations, transactions and reported activities.
- Investigate allegations of BDs or agents defrauding, misleading or taking advantage of merchants.
- Identify inconsistencies, suspicious patterns and potential gaps in field processes that may facilitate fraud.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in fraud investigation, field verification, loan operations, credit, collections, field operations or a related role.
- Experience in fintech, digital lending, banking or financial services is mandatory.
- Must reside in Lagos or Ogun State.
- Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication skills.
- Confidence conducting interviews and investigative calls with merchants and field agents.
