Job Description

Green Africa Airways Limited is recruiting an IT Infrastructure Support Intern to assist with the management, maintenance and support of the organisation’s IT infrastructure, cloud systems, deployment processes and internal technical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing and maintaining on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including servers, networks and storage.
• Support the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Monitor system performance, uptime and security, and respond to incidents and outages.
• Help automate repetitive tasks using scripting tools such as Bash and Python.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) implementations using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Perform system upgrades, patches and backups.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist in enforcing security best practices, including access control and vulnerability management.
• Provide technical support for internal systems and infrastructure-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS and VPNs.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
• Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD and version control.
• Familiarity with Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerisation tools such as Docker.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Exposure to security best practices in cloud and infrastructure environments.
