Job Description
Kano Cancer Treatment Centre is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee kitchen operations, food safety, staff management, inventory, menu planning and compliance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Diploma or Certificate in Catering, Hospitality Management or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in kitchen or catering management.
- Experience in institutional catering, such as hospitals, schools or large facilities, is an advantage.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP principles.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Supervise and develop kitchen staff.
- Manage inventory and stock levels.
- Plan menus and ensure nutrition compliance.
- Monitor costs and minimise waste.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and other applicable standards.
- Maintain accurate reports and documentation.
