Job Description
The After-sales Spare Parts Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the seamless availability, storage, and distribution of spare parts across service centres, field technician teams, and authorised repair partners.
The role requires deep product-specific knowledge to accurately forecast spare parts demand, manage supplier relationships, reduce inventory holding costs, and support technical teams in minimising product repair turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels for critical and high-failure components to prevent stockouts while avoiding overstocking and dead inventory.
- Source original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and high-quality aftermarket spare parts.
- Negotiate lead times, pricing, and minimum order quantities with suppliers.
- Monitor vendor compliance regarding part quality, defect rates, and delivery punctuality.
- Ensure efficient storage and distribution of spare parts across service centres, field technician teams, and authorised repair partners.
- Support the technical team by ensuring required spare parts are available to minimise product repair turnaround times.
- Forecast spare parts demand based on product-specific knowledge and historical requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and work towards reducing unnecessary inventory holding costs.
