Job Description
The Senior HVAC Technician will be responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining HVAC, air quality control and refrigeration equipment at the hotel. The role also involves maintaining mechanical plant systems, monitoring temperature and energy usage, and supporting electrical, plumbing, pool and spa maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, repair and maintain HVAC, air quality control and refrigeration equipment.
- Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
- Monitor and control property temperature.
- Monitor and analyse energy and utilities usage.
- Calibrate controls, gauges, meters and other equipment.
- Assemble, install, test, repair and maintain electrical systems and electronic wiring.
- Assemble, install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, valves and related equipment.
- Perform routine pool and spa maintenance.
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents and injuries.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance.
- Protect confidential company information and hotel assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and respond to their service needs.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
- Maintain positive working relationships with other employees.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and operational standards.
- Identify and recommend ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety and cost savings.
- Work in confined or elevated spaces and across sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces when required.
- Move up and down stairs, service ramps and ladders.
- Assist with moving, lifting, carrying and placing heavy objects, including items weighing more than 100 pounds.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, Trade or Vocational School Degree.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- No supervisory experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- EPA Universal Certification.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- HVAC Certification.
