Job Summary
Dana Group is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join the Dana Motors automobile workshop team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicle electrical systems and components while ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical faults and components.
- Handle alternators, starters, ignition systems, fuel pumps, horns, fans, headlights, brake lights and other electrical systems.
- Carry out ECU upgrades and programming.
- Perform transmitter key programming, steering calibration, ABS air bleeding and airbag module replacement and programming.
- Repair and replace audio and other electrical components.
- Diagnose vehicles using GDS (Global Diagnostic System) and identify required spare parts.
- Prepare repair estimates and maintain standard FRT on jobs.
- Test and inspect vehicles after completing repairs.
- Maintain tools and equipment and keep the work area clean and safe.
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- SSCE with Technical Certificate/Trade Test I, II & III.
- 3–4 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician in an automobile workshop.
- Good knowledge of GDS (Global Diagnostic System) and vehicle electrical diagnostics.
- Ability to read and interpret vehicle wiring diagrams.
- Proximity to Oshodi/Isolo is an advantage.
