Jaza is recruiting a Regional Coordinator to oversee its operations in Ekiti State. The successful candidate will serve as a regional business owner, managing regional operations, profitability, inventory, customer experience and team performance while reporting to the Country Business Operations Lead.

The Regional Coordinator is a line manager and regional business owner responsible for overseeing regional operations, managing profitability and leading the regional team.

The role also involves recruiting, training and coaching Jaza Stars and other regional team members while ensuring operational compliance and the achievement of business growth targets.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage regional profit and loss by developing and implementing innovative growth plans aligned with company objectives while maintaining cost control.
  • Manage regional inventory by ensuring excellent execution of inventory management processes and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage the recruitment and training of regional Jaza Stars and Super Stars based on identified hiring needs.
  • Manage regional team performance through team meetings, one-to-one meetings, coaching and performance reviews.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating Jaza behaviours and compliance with standard operating procedures.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop quarterly and monthly regional plans to grow active customers per Hub to an average of 120 active customers L7, achieve 1M monthly recurring revenue and meet agreed ARPU targets.
  • Resolve service interruptions at Hub level and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.
  • Manage Hub-level inventory overstock and keep missing packs below 1% at regional level, covering both Hub and customer-held inventory.
  • Work towards achieving 0% lost packs at regional level by implementing 4,5,7 inventory management processes and Pack Memos.
  • Coordinate with Tech Stars to resolve technical issues at Hubs and ensure Hub uptime.
  • Reinforce, build and coach the competencies and behaviours of Jaza Stars, Super Stars, Inventory Stars and Tech Stars to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Assign urgent Hub technical issues to Tech Stars where immediate intervention is required to prevent service interruptions.
  • Support Tech Stars with transportation and other resources required to complete field tasks.
  • Manage customer service experience at Hub level by resolving charging issues promptly and supporting Jaza Stars in handling customer complaints.
  • Identify potential growth challenges and recommend prompt solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local government officials and represent the company in relevant legal affairs.

Reports

  • Prepare weekly progress reports on action items for review during one-to-one meetings with the Business Operations Lead.
  • Prepare monthly growth reports using the DDD structure.
  • Prepare quarterly competitor reports using SWOT analysis.

Planning and Leadership

  • Conduct weekly planning for field operations across all functions.
  • Develop monthly growth plans outlining critical actions and expected outcomes.
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the regional team to set priorities, address gaps and plan subsequent actions.
  • Attend monthly meetings involving regional and supporting teams.

Management and Supervision

  • Attend execution calls.
  • Attend monthly portfolio reviews.
  • Conduct weekly regional team meetings to set priorities and address operational gaps.
  • Conduct quarterly coaching sessions with direct reports, including Super Stars, Inventory Stars and Tech Stars.
  • Manage team behaviours and ensure compliance with Jaza’s expected standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Marketing, Sales or another related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in Sales and Business Development.
  • Deep understanding of last-mile community sales and customer acquisition.
  • Experience managing junior sales executives and motivating teams to deliver results.
  • Strong understanding of sales principles and strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
