Job Description
The Accountant (ABUMET) will support financial planning, reporting and analysis to ensure accurate budgeting, effective cash flow management, cost efficiency and compliance with regulatory and internal control standards. The role will also provide financial insights to support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in line with regulatory standards.
- Monitor cash flow and support working capital optimisation.
- Analyse costs and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing financial risks and maintaining internal controls.
- Support audit processes, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of findings.
- Assist with tax planning and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain financial systems and ensure data accuracy.
- Support financial oversight of procurement activities and cost optimisation.
- Work with departments to provide financial insights and guidance.
- Participate in strategic financial discussions and business decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–4 years’ relevant experience in finance or accounting.
- Qualified, certified or a member of an accounting professional body such as ACCA or ICAN.
- Experience with data analysis tools and artificial intelligence (AI) will be an advantage.
