Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN) is recruiting qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Procurement Manager at FMN Holdings Limited. The successful candidate will support procurement operations, optimise organisational spending, ensure compliance with procurement procedures and maintain effective supplier relationships.

Job Purpose

To manage and support procurement activities by ensuring cost-effectiveness, regulatory and internal compliance, efficient supplier relationships and optimal use of organisational resources.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure the adequacy of bid specifications and prepare sourcing-related documents.
Process ERP transactions and monitor contract execution, including termination, renewal and amendments to contract terms.
Identify and address procurement bypasses to increase procurement involvement in organisational spending.
Drive cost-saving initiatives and ensure optimal value for spending under management.
Support business partnering for assigned units and ensure timely delivery in line with agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).
Track and report key procurement metrics in alignment with departmental objectives.
Assist the Procurement Manager in developing and maintaining strategic supplier relationships.
Address supplier performance issues and escalate critical concerns when necessary.
Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking.

Qualifications

HND or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Sciences or a related discipline.

Experience
