Job Description
As a Cargo Supervisor, you will serve as the main point of contact for operational matters, with direct responsibility for managing the cargo warehouse operation and freighter ramp at the appointed station. The role involves planning and overseeing key activities, routes and products while ensuring performance requirements relating to OTP, eAWB, Cargo iQ, SLAs and FAB are achieved.

Join NowThe successful candidate will also ensure the safe, secure and timely delivery of high-profile shipments on flights and key routes within the appointed station.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and improve freighter on-time performance (OTP) by fulfilling tasks associated with ramp coordination and supervision of freighter operations.
- Support, deliver and plan complex cargo loads for passenger or freighter operations.
- Provide on-the-job training, coaching and advice to GHA staff to improve their skills, knowledge and confidence.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cargo operations are performed safely and securely in compliance with regulatory requirements, SMS guidelines, security standards and company procedures.
- Establish best practices to support revenue budget achievement, service delivery, cost savings and compliance with safety and security requirements.
- Work flexible operational shifts and perform other positions below the Cargo Supervisor level as required, with cross-functional skills being a prerequisite.
- Execute ad-hoc tasks at other stations to support operational initiatives.
- Manage special services, products and VIP shipments from acceptance through to customer delivery.
- Raise PR, PO and GRN in SAP as required and verify supplier invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.
- Escalate medium- and high-level risks to the appropriate management personnel.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least three years of cargo operations experience or equivalent capacity.
- High school diploma.
- Good knowledge of cargo handling processes, procedures and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Good verbal and written English skills.
- Good understanding of computer airfreight specifications.
- Industry training in Dangerous Goods, Cargo Operations, Security, Quality or Auditor training is an advantage.
