Medmax Pharmacy Limited is recruiting a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to support its daily operations. The successful candidate will process customer payments, maintain accurate cash records and ensure smooth transactions at the pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Process payments through cash, credit and debit cards.
- Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout each shift.
- Count and balance the cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
- Identify and report discrepancies, counterfeit notes and suspicious transactions to management.
- Prepare bank deposits when required.
- Verify customer identity and confirm prescription collection details.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and provide courteous customer service.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant educational qualification.
- Previous cashier or retail experience is an advantage.
- Basic numerical and record-keeping skills.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and electronic payment methods.
- Honesty, attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Good communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and maintain confidentiality.
