The Place, a leading Nigerian quick-service restaurant (QSR) and hospitality company, is recruiting qualified candidates for the position of Cashier/Cook in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
The successful candidates will help deliver excellent customer service, maintain food quality and hygiene standards, process customer transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend to customers courteously and professionally, ensuring their needs are met and complaints are resolved promptly.
- Process sales transactions accurately and issue receipts to customers.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Develop a good understanding of the company’s products and menu offerings.
- Use suggestive selling techniques to recommend products and improve customer satisfaction.
- Prepare meals in line with established recipes, food safety requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain proper sanitation practices during food preparation and service.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
Requirements
- SSCE or OND qualification.
- At least one year of experience in the food industry as a cashier, cook, chef or in a related role.
- Knowledge of local cuisine preparation techniques and international dishes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and nutrition.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and other shifts as required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced food production and service environment.
- Must reside in Yenagoa or be willing to work there.
