Job Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging A-Level Chemistry lessons in line with the approved curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, laboratory activities, and instructional materials.
• Conduct practical laboratory sessions while ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
• Assess, monitor, and evaluate students’ academic performance through assignments, practicals, tests, and examinations.
• Prepare students for A-Level and other external examinations by providing effective academic guidance.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages scientific inquiry and critical thinking.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ attendance, progress, and academic performance.
• Provide academic support and mentoring to students where necessary.
• Participate in departmental meetings, staff training, school events, and other professional development activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding students’ progress.
• Carry out other teaching and administrative duties as assigned by the school.

Requirements

• A first degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ experience teaching A-Level Chemistry.
• Applicants must reside within the Ajah axis of Lagos.
