Job Description
Visa is recruiting for the position of Director, Consumer Value Proposition in Lagos. The successful candidate will join Visa’s West & Central Africa (WCA) Solutions organisation and lead the Consumer Value Proposition (CVP) team.
The role is responsible for providing strategic product direction, developing and localising products to meet market needs, driving revenue-generating product strategies, and delivering strong financial performance. The successful candidate will also work closely with sales, operations, country teams, clients and external partners to drive product adoption and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and inspire the WCA Consumer Value Proposition team.
- Develop and execute revenue-generating product strategies.
- Manage local product development and localisation of global products.
- Lead multiple CVP initiatives, including product launches and enhancements.
- Prepare business cases, manage system setup, pricing and product communications.
- Develop CVPs that address evolving consumer needs and emerging market segments.
- Manage existing CVPs and consumer benefit programmes.
- Identify opportunities to improve customer benefits, services and overall user experience.
- Launch new products and expand existing products into new markets.
- Monitor product and solution performance against business metrics and the WCA scorecard.
- Work with clients to co-create solutions, drive adoption and resolve implementation challenges.
- Support WCA country product strategy through consumer research, Visa data analysis and usage tracking.
- Support budget management, programme performance tracking and financial forecasting.
- Manage relationships with existing product benefit providers and evaluate new partners.
- Collaborate with internal teams including the CEMEA CVP Hub, Interchange, Pricing, Marketing, Research, Data Science and country teams.
- Work with external partners and support initiatives such as benefits resale.
- Serve as custodian of WCA core product rules and policies.
- Champion Visa’s values across the organisation.
Requirements
- More than 10 years of experience in the financial or fintech industries.
- Experience leading product teams and delivering product development strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in a business-related field.
- Strong understanding of client businesses and how they align with Visa’s strategy.
- Strong project management and execution skills.
- Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and financial skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment.
- Strong interest in digital products and industry trends.
- Ability to translate industry developments into improved products, customer experiences and digital offerings.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively across different teams and functions.
Work Arrangement
Visa requires employees in this role to work from the office at least three days per week. The specific office days will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager.
