Job Summary
Voedsel Capital Limited is recruiting a Credit Reviewer to assess, analyse and validate loan applications in line with the company’s credit policies and risk management standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing loan documentation, evaluating borrowers’ creditworthiness, assessing collateral and identifying potential risks to ensure that only qualified credit applications are recommended for approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Review loan applications to ensure completeness and compliance with the company’s credit policies.
- Analyse borrowers’ financial statements, cash flows, bank statements and other supporting documents.
- Verify the accuracy and authenticity of submitted documents, including offer letters, affidavits, valuation and inspection reports, and vehicle documents such as VIN, engine numbers and registration papers.
- Evaluate the value, authenticity and adequacy of vehicle collateral.
- Ensure all credit reviews comply with Voedsel Capital’s internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Prepare comprehensive credit review reports for management and approval committees.
- Collaborate with Credit Relationship Officers, compliance officers and risk officers to balance business growth with prudent risk management.
Qualifications and Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting or loan review, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Knowledge of Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures, risk management and collateral assessment.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- High ethical standards and sound judgement in credit decision-making.
Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
