Job Summary

Bourbon Interoil Nigeria Limited is seeking a Deputy Warehouse Coordinator to support warehouse operations, control stock movements and inventories, and ensure accuracy between physical stock and ORACLE records. The successful candidate will also support replenishment planning, warehouse housekeeping, and the Senior Warehouse Coordinator when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow up on the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Replace the Senior Warehouse Coordinator during leave periods and duty rotations on weekends.
  • Assist the Senior Warehouse Coordinator in identifying areas for improvement and establishing or adjusting work procedures and practices.
  • Ensure vendors’ deliveries are received and checked with end users.
  • Maintain accuracy between documentation, deliveries, and dispatches.
  • Prepare necessary documentation, including ORACLE reports, and ensure proper distribution.
  • Ensure materials and spare parts are properly arranged in containers upon delivery.
  • Control the dispatch of materials and spare parts as required by vessels and end users.
  • Handle stock movements in ORACLE.
  • Prepare inventories as requested by the Senior Warehouse Coordinator.
  • Organise and maintain the inventory and storage areas.
  • Ensure the accuracy of shipment and inventory transactions.
  • Conduct permanent, turning, and sampling inventories.
  • Ensure all items are physically counted at least once a year.
  • Maintain item records, document relevant information, and use reports to monitor warehouse status.
  • Prepare Mini-Max levels, security stocks, and automatic reorders.
  • Prepare weekly reports on Mini-Max levels and automatic reorder plans.
  • Communicate and coordinate with other departments and customers.
  • Assist the Senior Warehouse Coordinator in achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through efficient receiving, identification, dispatch, and quality assurance of goods.
  • Work jointly with the Senior Warehouse Coordinator to measure and report the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee performance.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE rules and requirements, housekeeping standards, and maintenance procedures.
  • Maintain basic maintenance standards and comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the warehouse premises.
  • Coordinate and maintain materials and equipment.
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy.
  • Ensure good and safe storekeeping practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Sciences, Management, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in warehousing, stock control, HSE, and supply chain, preferably within the marine and logistics industry.
