The successful candidate will be responsible for managing check-in queues, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring customers receive prompt assistance with bookings, ticketing, and other passenger service activities.

Job Summary

The Duty Agent is primarily responsible for managing check-in queues and ensuring customers receive prompt service for all booking and check-in related activities.

The role reports to the Duty Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer customer enquiries regarding Green Africa products and services.
  • Educate customers on new and existing company products.
  • Provide customers with travel suggestions and relevant travel information.
  • Inform customers of essential travel details such as travel times and operating terminals.
  • Be fully trained on all aspects of ticketing, fares, passenger services, and customer relations.
  • Handle post-departure activities and front-line documentation.
  • Promote customer loyalty by delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer needs are adequately met.
  • Book reservations and issue tickets when required.
  • Plan travel routes and compute ticket costs using schedules and computer systems.
  • Make ticket bookings, quote fares, and send ticket details to customers via email.
  • Prepare and submit daily sales reports to the gLead at the end of each shift.
  • Prepare customer invoices and receive payments.
  • Respond promptly to customer enquiries.
  • Determine seat availability based on customers’ requested travel dates.
  • Maintain accurate records and update Passenger Name Record (PNR) files.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the gLeads, Airport Manager, or Duty Manager.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field.
