Job Summary
The Electrical Crane Technician will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance of cranes, including routine checks, troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, repairs, and other maintenance activities to ensure reliable equipment performance.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Electrical Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Carry out repairs and maintenance as directed by the Supervisor in accordance with OEM specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot cranes during breakdowns to identify electrical faults.
- Request and collect spare parts required for repairs and maintenance.
- Prepare progress and completion reports for work carried out and submit them to the Electrical Crane Supervisor.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety requirements, including the use of appropriate tools and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Attend weekly safety training.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times while working in designated areas.
Teamwork and Performance
- Work with other technicians and supervisors to complete assigned tasks.
- Take ownership of individual performance through the TICT performance management system.
- Attend and maximise training recommended by Supervisors and HR to address performance and development gaps.
- Support the induction of new team members into the unit.
- Perform other duties as required by the business.
Requirements
- Minimum of HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
- HSE Level 1 Certification.
