Responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
Prepare and reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements and financial reports.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Support the management of accounts payable, accounts receivable and expense tracking.
Assist in automating and improving financial reporting and reconciliation processes.
Prepare financial schedules and reports as required by management.
Ensure accuracy, integrity and confidentiality in all financial processes.
Collaborate with other teams and external partners to support operational and financial activities.
Utilise MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
Use accounting software where applicable.
Perform other finance-related duties assigned by the Accountant.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
1–2 years of work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk.
Professional qualifications or membership, such as ICAN or ACCA student membership, is an added advantage.
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations and reporting standards.
Working knowledge of accounting software is an added advantage.
Must reside in Kaduna.
