Reliable Steel and Plastic Industry, also known as Divine Success, is a manufacturing company established in 1998. The company produces a variety of plastic products, including coolers, food flasks and baskets.

Job Summary

The company is seeking an experienced, strategic and results-driven Head of Supply Chain to lead and coordinate its end-to-end supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with production and business objectives.
Lead procurement, purchasing, inventory, warehousing, logistics and distribution activities.
Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging materials, spare parts and other production requirements.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors and service providers.
Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate competitive prices, payment terms, quality standards and delivery schedules.
Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with agreed specifications and timelines.
Establish effective inventory control systems to prevent stockouts, overstocking, waste and unnecessary working capital commitments.
Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality Control, Sales and Finance teams to forecast and plan material requirements.
Monitor supply chain costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and improved efficiency.
Develop and monitor procurement and inventory budgets.
Ensure proper documentation and authorisation of purchasing and supply chain activities.
Monitor inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation.
Establish minimum and maximum stock levels, reorder points and inventory controls.
Monitor market trends, supplier pricing, material availability and potential supply risks.
Develop contingency plans to minimise supply disruptions.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement procedures, quality standards and applicable regulations.
Lead, train, supervise and develop the Supply Chain team.
Prepare and present regular supply chain performance reports to management.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, including significant experience in a managerial or senior supply chain role.
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, FMCG, plastic, steel or related production environments.
Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, supplier management and demand planning.
Experience negotiating with local and international suppliers.
Good understanding of manufacturing materials, production requirements and inventory planning.
Experience with ERP, inventory management or procurement software is highly desirable.
Strong analytical, negotiation, leadership and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance cost, quality, availability and delivery.
Professional certification in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics or a related field is an added advantage.
