Job Title: HR Strategy & Operations
Paystack is looking for an experienced HR Strategy & Operations professional to design, implement, and manage strategic people programmes that attract, develop, reward, and retain top talent. The successful candidate will help strengthen the company’s HR processes while supporting its continued growth across multiple countries.
The role reports to the Head of People.
Responsibilities
- Manage the annual performance management process, including promotion and calibration exercises.
- Build and maintain Paystack’s job architecture and career framework.
- Partner with business leaders to define skills and competencies required across different career levels.
- Support managers in managing high-performing and underperforming employees.
- Develop and manage Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) processes.
- Advise managers on salary levels and reward structures.
- Partner with leadership to develop Paystack’s compensation philosophy and reward strategies.
- Manage salary, equity, and benefits benchmarking across all countries where Paystack operates.
- Lead the annual compensation review and planning process.
- Develop equitable compensation approaches for employees across different countries.
- Educate employees on compensation structures and assess programme effectiveness.
- Build systems and tools to manage compensation, equity, and performance management processes.
- Continuously evaluate HR programmes and recommend improvements.
- Monitor employee feedback and identify opportunities to improve people programmes.
Requirements
- Extensive HR or People Operations experience in fast-growing technology companies or scale-ups.
- Experience managing HR programmes in high-growth organisations.
- Hands-on experience using HR systems and tools.
- Strong knowledge of job evaluation and compensation benchmarking methodologies.
- Experience working with compensation survey providers and managing equity programmes across multiple countries.
- Excellent project management, analytical, organisational, and Microsoft Excel skills.
