Mandilas Group Limited is recruiting to fill the position of HVAC Engineer in Lagos.
Summary
The HVAC Engineer will provide technical support, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting services for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. The role requires expertise in chillers, VRF/VRV systems and industrial or commercial refrigeration units, while ensuring optimal performance, customer satisfaction, safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission and service HVAC systems, including air-cooled and water-cooled chillers, VRF/VRV systems, split and packaged air conditioning units, cold rooms and refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose faults and carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
- Execute routine servicing schedules and ensure timely completion of annual maintenance contracts (AMCs) and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams and equipment manuals to troubleshoot faults and carry out repairs.
- Conduct performance testing, system balancing and efficiency optimisation.
- Ensure proper refrigerant handling, leak detection and compliance with environmental standards.
- Provide technical support to clients and internal teams, including training on system operations where necessary.
- Prepare service reports, fault logs and relevant documentation after each assignment.
- Comply with health, safety and environmental (HSE) policies when handling tools, equipment and refrigerants.
- Support spare parts identification, requisition and inventory control.
- Liaise with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and technical partners when advanced troubleshooting is required.
