About the Role
The company is seeking a high-performing Electrical Supervisor with proven experience in industrial electrical maintenance, particularly within FMCG, food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
The successful candidate will lead the electrical maintenance team and ensure that production lines operate reliably, safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation of new electrical systems.
- Coordinate planned and corrective electrical maintenance activities.
- Diagnose equipment problems and troubleshoot faults across a wide range of equipment.
- Lead and supervise a team of electricians and technicians.
- Assign tasks and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Train and mentor electricians and technicians.
- Ensure maintenance work meets required quality and industry standards.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and workplace safety requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to support efficient production operations.
- Supervise electrical maintenance activities and ensure equipment reliability.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Professional certifications such as COREN or NSE are an added advantage.

The Role
Vitafoam Nigeria Plc is seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented and technically sound Assistant Manager, Quality Assurance to oversee and drive quality management systems at its Jos Factory.
Key Responsibilities
Raw Material Inspection & Testing
- Oversee the rigorous testing of incoming chemical raw materials, including Polyol, TDI, catalysts, blowing agents and additives.
- Verify the purity, viscosity and moisture content of raw materials before discharge into storage tanks.
In-Process Quality Control (IPQC)
- Monitor and control critical parameters during continuous and batch foaming operations.
- Ensure correct chemical formulation ratios are maintained throughout production.
Finished Goods Evaluation
- Lead the physical testing of cured foam blocks and finished products.
- Verify density consistency and ensure products meet required quality standards.
Laboratory & Equipment Calibration
- Manage the Jos Factory laboratory operations.
- Ensure testing apparatus, scales and compression machines are properly calibrated.
Defect Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
- Lead investigations into manufacturing non-conformities, including splits, bottom scorch, early foam collapse and density drift.
- Implement definitive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Waste Reduction Support
- Collaborate with the production team to monitor and reduce cutting waste rates and chemical reaction variance.
- Optimise material yield without compromising quality standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science or a closely related scientific discipline.
- Membership of the Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN), or relevant Quality Management certifications such as ASQ CQE or ISO 9001 Lead Auditor is a distinct advantage.
- 5–8 years of active quality assurance or quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
