Job Purpose

The Go-to-Market (GTM) Coordinator – Distribution Operations will lead the planning, execution, optimisation and governance of the company’s distribution operations and Route-to-Market (RTM) expansion agenda.

The role will focus on distributor recruitment and onboarding, distributor capability development and continuous improvement of distribution performance. The successful candidate will translate the company’s RTM and distribution strategy into scalable, efficient and sustainable operating models that expand market coverage, improve product availability, strengthen distributor capability and enhance sales force and distribution productivity.

Key Responsibilities

RTM Expansion

  • Lead the planning and execution of RTM expansion and approved distribution expansion initiatives.
  • Translate distribution expansion strategies into regional and territory-level deployment plans.
  • Identify underserved territories, white spaces and high-potential outlet clusters using market intelligence, outlet data, sales performance and geospatial analysis.
  • Lead retail zoning, territory design, route creation and resource estimation.
  • Develop detailed rollout plans covering geography, outlet opportunities, distributor requirements, sales force requirements, investment needs, timelines and expected returns.
  • Monitor expansion implementation against agreed milestones and resolve execution bottlenecks.
  • Track newly activated territories, routes, distributors and sales resources.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and recommend route optimisation, resource reallocation and operating model improvements.
  • Develop scale-up recommendations based on pilot results, productivity trends and return on investment.

Geospatial Analysis, Retail Zoning and Resource Estimation

  • Apply geospatial analysis and mapping tools to support distribution planning and decision-making.
  • Analyse outlet density, customer concentration, market potential, travel patterns, competitive presence and existing distribution coverage.
  • Define retail zones, distributor catchment areas, sales territories and route boundaries.
  • Estimate requirements for distributors, sales executives, field sales supervisors, secondary sales force, vehicles and other distribution assets.
  • Use outlet-level data to identify gaps in route density, call frequency, sales force capacity and service levels.

Distributor Recruitment, Assessment and Onboarding

  • Identify and recruit new distributors required for market expansion.
  • Maintain a distributor pipeline across priority markets and white-space territories.
  • Manage structured distributor assessments covering financial capacity, infrastructure, warehouse capability, logistics assets, market knowledge, management capability, sales capability and growth potential.
  • Conduct distributor due diligence and business viability assessments with relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop distributor business cases covering sales potential, investment requirements, resource needs, operating costs and profitability.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding process for newly appointed distributors.

Distributor Capability Building and Development

  • Develop and lead distributor capability-building initiatives.
  • Identify gaps in business management, financial management, sales force management, stock management, warehouse operations, customer service, RTM execution and digital tools.
  • Develop training modules, playbooks, capability frameworks and operating standards.
  • Coordinate onboarding and capability development for new distributors.
  • Coach distributors on effective sales and distribution management.
  • Support distributors in developing business, resource and market expansion plans.
  • Conduct regular distributor capability assessments and track improvement.

Distributor Operations Management

  • Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of distribution operations.
  • Establish and monitor processes covering order management, stock availability, sales force deployment, route management, outlet servicing, returns, reporting and issue resolution.
  • Monitor distributor operational readiness, including sales force strength, vehicles, warehouse capacity, stock availability, systems and route coverage.
  • Identify operational gaps and develop improvement plans.
  • Support the resolution of critical distributor issues affecting sales, outlet coverage, stock availability and customer service.

RTM Performance Management and Optimisation

  • Monitor and analyse key RTM and distribution performance metrics.
  • Track outlet coverage, active outlets, numeric distribution, outlet acquisition, route productivity, call rate, productive calls, strike rate, sales per route and sales force efficiency.
  • Analyse performance trends and identify productivity gaps and opportunities.
  • Develop performance dashboards and scorecards at national, regional, distributor, territory, route and sales force levels.
  • Establish performance benchmarks and productivity thresholds.
  • Develop corrective actions for underperforming distributors, routes, territories and sales resources.
  • Monitor outlet registration, classification, zoning and sales force assignment.

Business Analytics and Data-Driven Decision-Making

  • Analyse sales, outlet, distributor and RTM data to generate actionable insights.
  • Use Power BI, GTM data, SFA data, Excel, geospatial tools and other analytical platforms.
  • Develop analytical models for market potential, route viability, distributor productivity, outlet opportunity and resource requirements.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis on performance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Translate complex data into management insights, recommendations and presentations.
  • Develop business cases for distribution expansion, distributor investment, resource deployment and RTM optimisation.
  • Ensure data integrity and address data quality and consistency issues.
  • Establish regular analytics routines to identify risks and opportunities within the distribution network.

Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in FMCG, sales operations, distribution, Route-to-Market, commercial strategy or business operations.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing or managing distribution expansion and RTM initiatives.
  • Strong experience working with distributors and managing distributor performance, capability and operational processes.
  • Demonstrated project management and cross-functional implementation experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into business actions.
  • Experience using Power BI, advanced Excel, SFA/GTM systems and other business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with geospatial analysis, mapping, territory design, route optimisation or location intelligence tools is an advantage.

Supply Planning & DRP Lead

Job Purpose

The Supply Planning & DRP Lead is responsible for aligning supply plans, production schedules and distribution requirements with customer service targets, supply risk management and cost efficiency. The role translates the agreed S&OP volume plan into executable production and distribution plans across Promasidor’s factory and warehouse network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a rolling 13-week Master Production Schedule aligned with the S&OP volume plan.
  • Translate demand forecasts into constrained production plans based on capacity, material availability and inventory targets.
  • Coordinate with Factory Managers and Engineering teams on maintenance, OEE constraints and changeover requirements.
  • Lead weekly Supply Planning Meetings and drive decisions on supply gaps and trade-offs.
