Job Description:
Thanks to its internationally recognized expertise in the field of oil and gas production unit operations, maintenance, and the Renewable Energy market, SPIE Global Services Energy was selected to provide this activity on AKPO and EGINA FPSO in Nigeria.
To support the growth of our Sub-Saharan Africa Business Unit, we are looking for a Lead Mechanical Static Equipment Engineer M/F.
Location: Lagos (TOTAL Office) + Offshore Missions (AKPO and EGINA FPSO) on RESIDENT MODE.
Role includes but is not limited to:
- Lead the AKPO and EGINA Mechanical Marine Static Engineers.
- Assist Head of Mechanical with updating Maintenance Plans, involving procedures drafting, drawings issuance, studies performance, spare parts identification reviews, tools reviews, documentation filing, binding, or data capture in computerized systems.
- Support FPSO operational teams in areas of specialty, including drafting working procedures, maintenance programs, and providing logistic support.
- Develop maintenance methods and tools, analyze works and practices, and suggest optimization methods.
- Perform technical studies to improve performance or upgrade facilities.
- Follow up on technical problems, contractual files, warranty claims, and corrective actions.
- Perform equipment performance analysis and develop enhanced condition monitoring programs.
- Support offshore teams with day-to-day activities and provide assistance as needed.
- Participate in operational works, including major shutdowns, and may be incorporated into maintenance working shifts.
- Provide logistic support for resources: vendors, additional manpower, services, tools, spare parts, consumables, and other materials.
- Coordinate repairs that need to be subcontracted outside.
- Attend materials repairs or inspections at ONNE/LADOL base or Contractor facilities.
- Coordinate activities with MTMC method and planning engineers based in Lagos.
- Register works, consumed materials, and services in UNISUP, the computerized maintenance management system.
- Monitor spare parts and consumables consumption, report anomalies, and take suitable action to prevent shortages.
- Occasionally replace the Head of Mechanical during absences.
Profile:
Skills Required:
- Engineering University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Degree as Chief Engineer or equivalent.
- Knowledge in Marine, Hydraulic, Lifting equipment, and various Mechanical Static Equipment.
- 5 years of experience as Chief Engineer on board a vessel or as a Mechanical Engineer in operational functions in the Oil & Gas Industry.
- Experience in Sub-Saharan Africa is a plus.
Working Schedule: 5 days/week, with possible Offshore Missions.
