Seven-Up Bottling Company Limited is recruiting qualified candidates to fill the position of Material Planner in Lagos.

Job Purpose

The Material Planner will be responsible for ensuring that the raw and packaging materials required for continuous production are available at the right time and in the required quantities.

The role involves material requirements planning, inventory management, replenishment, stock movement, and coordination with various teams and external partners to minimise shortages, avoid production interruptions, and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct monthly and periodic Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for assigned materials, including crowns, pallets, Lays, sugar, shrink, and stretch materials.
  • Monitor material consumption and availability across manufacturing locations to prevent shortages and production disruptions.
  • Maintain appropriate Days of Inventory (DOI) and manage stock within approved minimum, maximum, safety stock, and reorder levels.
  • Identify and reduce excess, slow-moving, and obsolete inventory.
  • Coordinate with third-party partners, including Imperial Beverage Limited and Green Eagles, to support timely production and delivery of required materials.
  • Create and monitor SAP Stock Transport Orders (STOs) for inter-regional material transfers.
  • Ensure accuracy of SAP material movement transactions.
  • Prepare and submit RAWMA and material inventory reports within required timelines.
  • Work with the Logistics team to secure trucks and facilitate timely loading and transportation of materials.
  • Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Logistics, Warehousing, and other relevant teams to resolve material supply challenges.
  • Identify and implement initiatives that improve material availability, inventory efficiency, planning accuracy, and overall supply chain performance.

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess:

  • B.Sc. or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in materials planning, supply chain planning, or inventory management.
  • Previous experience in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience managing raw materials and packaging materials in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong data analysis capabilities.
  • Good understanding of inventory planning and material management processes.
