Reliable Steel and Plastic Company is recruiting an experienced and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of its soybean processing plant and agricultural machinery in Rivers State.

Responsibilities
- Direct and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for soybean processing units, including extruders, crushers, conveyors, and sorting equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy farm equipment, tractors, power tools, and auxiliary mechanical systems.
- Diagnose equipment breakdowns quickly and implement effective engineering solutions to minimise downtime.
- Track mechanical spares, manage spare parts inventory, and recommend necessary component replacements.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems across the farm and processing facilities.
- Ensure machinery and processing equipment operate efficiently and reliably.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across machinery maintenance and plant operations.
- Support continuous improvements aimed at increasing production efficiency and equipment performance.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of proven experience operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining soybean processing plants and farm machinery.
- B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Agricultural Engineering discipline.
- Deep knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear systems, heavy diesel engines, and automated processing machinery.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude and the ability to handle high-pressure repair situations effectively.
- Candidates should reside in Rivers State or its environs, or be genuinely willing to relocate immediately.
