EDC Fund Management Limited, a member of the Ecobank Group, is recruiting a qualified Officer, Back Office Operations to support the Asset Management Department. The successful candidate will oversee back-office operations, ensure operational efficiency, minimise risk, and support the profitable growth of the asset management business through effective processing, reporting, and regulatory compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the processing of subscription, redemption, transfer, and other investment-related requests.
  • Resolve dealing-related enquiries via email and telephone, providing information on fund portfolios, prices, dealing procedures, and market activities.
  • Liaise with custodians, registrars, auditors, and other stakeholders involved in fund operations.
  • Process trade documentation and related operational activities.
  • Supervise the maintenance of subscribers’ registers and investors’ records.
  • Process dividend and interest payments where applicable.
  • Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and submit regulatory returns to relevant authorities and statutory bodies.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ proven experience in the asset management industry.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA or ACCA will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to implement procedures that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Proficiency in the use of investment management software applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, team spirit, and commitment to achieving results.
