Key Purpose

The Packaging Process Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining defined packaging equipment and related processes to achieve optimal operational effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

Operating Equipment and Managing Packaging Processes

Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Interpret and implement the production plan for each shift.
Operate manual and automatic machines online in accordance with established standards.
Monitor production processes during shifts and take corrective action when negative trends are identified.
Ensure process quality and productivity are maintained.

Administration

Complete required tracking and monitoring activities.
Complete operator workstation administration and take action as required.
Complete team room administration as required.
Contribute to personal and professional development.

Problem Solving

Manage PIMS and POMS and take corrective action on negative trends.
Use QFRs in line with applicable triggers.
Complete 5 Whys analyses with relevant team members when required.
Contribute towards AB reports as required.

Autonomous Operations

Conduct autonomous operations, including cleaning, inspection, tagging and repair of equipment.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
At least 1 year of working experience, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
