Job Description
Our client is looking to hire a detail-oriented and analytical procurement specialist focusing on our retail, hospitality, and community-focused initiatives. The procurement specialist will play a pivotal role in executing procurement activities, managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to our business entities, and supporting complex procurement functions within a diverse business environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies focusing on cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
- Conduct market research, maintain supplier databases, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Coordinate the RFP process from initiation to contract award, including preparing, issuing, and evaluating RFPs.
- Conduct supplier audits, monitor performance metrics, and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Manage supplier relationships, resolve issues, and maintain accurate supplier information.
- Perform inventory management and collaborate with various departments to streamline procurement processes.
- Support community partnership initiatives by sourcing sustainable materials.
- Monitor industry trends, recommend improvements to procurement processes, and ensure policy compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or other relevant discipline.
- At least 1 year of experience as a procurement specialist, project manager, or administrative officer, with impressive knowledge of procurement activities and technology tools.
- Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and industry standards.
- Experience in retail, hospitality, and community partnerships is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
