Job Summary
The successful candidate will handle routine maintenance, respond to guest repair requests and help ensure that hotel facilities, equipment and building systems remain safe and operational.
Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and address reported issues professionally.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment and mechanical room equipment.
- Inspect equipment and machinery to identify faults and maintenance needs.
- Maintain maintenance inventories and request replacement parts and supplies when necessary.
- Carry out basic repairs involving air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry and other building facilities.
- Perform painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb replacements and air-conditioning filter changes.
- Troubleshoot basic equipment faults, unclog drains and toilets, and repair selected electrical components.
- Monitor utility shut-off valves and follow lockout/tagout procedures before carrying out maintenance work.
- Support the maintenance of interior and exterior areas, including landscaping irrigation systems.

Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting.
- Previous experience in hotel engineering or maintenance will be an advantage.
- A valid driver’s licence is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment, with assistance for heavier loads.
