Key Responsibilities
- Enhance product quality, reduce risks, improve production efficiency, and promote customer loyalty.
- Assess customer requirements and ensure they are met.
- Determine, negotiate, and agree on in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to customer service standards.
- Monitor the quality requirements of raw materials supplied by vendors.
- Investigate and establish standards for quality, health, and safety.
- Ensure production processes comply with applicable national and international standards.
- Determine quality-related training needs.
- Act as a catalyst for change and continuous improvement in performance and quality.
- Record, analyse, and distribute statistical information.
- Check, sort, and properly grade received items.
- Coordinate monthly cleaning and fumigation of the store and maintain relevant reports.
- Monitor close-to-expiry products and ensure they are removed from shelves by the store team.
- Ensure proper hygiene of the environment and staff.
- Conduct quality checks on all fresh food production before products are displayed for customers.
- Receive and welcome government and regulatory officials during visits and inspections.
- Handle customer complaints and implement immediate corrective measures.
- Monitor the HACCP plan.
- Ensure all locally produced food and cosmetics carry valid NAFDAC numbers.
- Ensure imported food and cosmetics are listed on the relevant global list.
- Submit reports on branch quality-control activities to the Head Office.
- Conduct internal audits of products and departments on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Ensure no expired food products are available in the supermarket.
