Restaurant Accountant – Port Harcourt at The Place

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State
Employment Type: Full-time

The Place is recruiting a Restaurant Accountant to process financial transactions, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, monitor budgets and manage monthly stock valuations. The role requires accounting experience, strong Excel skills and proficiency in accounting software. Applicants must be residing in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Key Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase ledger transactions from invoice receipt to completion.
• Reconcile bank statements with payment vouchers, purchase ledgers and sales ledgers.
• Process financial transactions using Sage and other accounting applications.
• Analyse the costs of business operations and activities to support performance comparisons.
• Conduct monthly stock valuation, stocktaking and stock reconciliation.
• Monitor budgets and prepare variance reports.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and reconcile inter-branch accounts.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND or BSc in Accountancy.
• At least one year of relevant work experience.
• Strong Excel data analytics skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
• Computer literacy and proficiency in standard office applications, Microsoft operating systems and accounting software such as NAV, Sage/Peachtree, QuickBooks or DacEasy.
• Must be residing in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
