Qatar Airways is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Senior Airport Services Agent in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This role is ideal for experienced airport operations or customer service professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional passenger service while ensuring compliance with the airline’s operational and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality passenger services during check-in, boarding, baggage handling, lounges, and special assistance.
- Coordinating with check-in counters, transfer desks, and other airport service teams to ensure smooth passenger processing.
- Supporting the Airport Services Supervisor in daily operational activities.
- Escorting arriving and departing passengers to hotels, visa counters, transfer desks, boarding gates, and premium lounges.
- Assisting the duty officer with company materials and operational records.
- Liaising with the Ground Handling Agent (GHA) to ensure efficient handling of hotel and transfer passengers.
- Working closely with the GHA to ensure seamless passenger services.
- Assisting passengers with travel requirements, including visa, entry, and residence permit information.
- Ensuring passengers move smoothly through airport facilities.
- Performing other duties assigned to support efficient airport operations.
Requirements
Applicants should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- At least one year of experience in airport operations with a leading airline.
- Previous customer service experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Experience with Departure Control Systems (DCS); ticketing knowledge is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of Amadeus reservation system is highly preferred.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts.
- Must have the legal right to live and work in Nigeria.
