Job Description
Shawsand Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse / Midwife to join its healthcare team and provide quality nursing and midwifery care to patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing and midwifery care to patients.
- Assist with antenatal, delivery, and postnatal services.
- Monitor patients’ conditions and promptly report changes or concerns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with prescribed procedures.
- Ensure compliance with clinical, infection-control, and patient-safety standards.
- Support doctors and other healthcare professionals in patient management.
- Provide health education and appropriate counselling to patients and families.
- Participate in emergency care and other clinical duties as required.
Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse and Midwife with a valid practising licence.
- Minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification work experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory.
- Additional diplomas or professional certifications such as Family Planning, Paediatric Nursing, Theatre Nursing, or other relevant nursing specialities will be an added advantage.
- Strong clinical, patient-care, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain high professional and ethical standards.
Salary
₦50,000 – ₦150,000 per month.
