The Place is recruiting for the position of Storekeeper at its Ikoyi Plaza location in Lagos. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing store operations, maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and verifying merchandise, and ensuring the timely availability of stock.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee and administer the day-to-day operations of the store.
- Receive, identify, and verify merchandise.
- Provide information to and assist customers when required.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Use inventory management software to monitor stock.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for replacement stock.
- Maintain appropriate records, including invoices, order numbers, receiving dates, and shipping dates.
- Prepare relevant store reports.
- Verify ledgers, statements, and supporting documents.
- Properly handle and store merchandise and products requiring special care due to factors such as toxicity, fragility, rapid deterioration, contamination, or spontaneous combustion.
- Arrange stock according to established requirements and procedures.
- Suggest available substitutes when products are outdated or unavailable, where appropriate.
- Oversee the delivery of merchandise according to established schedules.
- Coordinate special deliveries and communicate the necessary details to relevant personnel.
- Maintain records of items shipped, received, or transferred to other locations.
- Update the procurement team on stock levels and status to help prevent stock-outs.
- Maintain store equipment and instruments.
- Ensure the cleanliness and proper organisation of work areas.
