Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager will develop and implement procurement and logistics systems, processes, and policies while ensuring efficient, transparent, timely, and cost-effective supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate procurement and logistics activities.
- Manage purchase orders, deliveries, shipping, clearing, and freight forwarding.
- Develop and manage logistics budgets, forecasts, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate favourable contracts and service agreements.
- Develop procurement frameworks and coordinate tendering and bidding processes.
- Evaluate and maintain the company’s supplier database and prequalified supplier list.
- Ensure efficient movement and management of materials.
- Develop logistics strategies and work plans aligned with business needs.
- Ensure compliance with customs, import, freight forwarding, and logistics requirements.
- Lead and develop the Supply Chain team through training and performance management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience.
- Safety Level 1 Certification.
- Knowledge of Nigerian import regulations and Customs & Excise laws.
- Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, clearing and forwarding, international trade, and vendor management.
- Experience with RFQ and bidding management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage people effectively.
