Olabay Marine Integrated Services Limited is recruiting to fill the position of Supply & Logistics Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the company’s supply, transportation, delivery and logistics activities, ensuring that customer orders and operational requirements are executed accurately, efficiently, safely and within agreed timelines.
Job Purpose
The Supply & Logistics Officer will coordinate the company’s supply, transportation, delivery and logistics activities while ensuring that customer orders and operational requirements are properly executed, documented and accounted for.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and coordinate customer orders, supply instructions and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate AGO/petroleum product supply and dispatch from approved suppliers, refineries or depots to designated clients.
- Liaise with suppliers, transporters, drivers and clients to ensure seamless loading, transportation, delivery and offloading.
- Represent Olabay Marine Integrated Services Limited professionally at client locations during assigned deliveries and receiving operations.
- Verify truck details, product quantities, loading tickets, meter readings, waybills, delivery notes and customer receiving quantities.
- Monitor deliveries from dispatch to final receipt and provide timely operational updates to management.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is properly completed, signed, collected and filed for reconciliation and invoicing.
- Identify and promptly report shortages, quantity discrepancies, delays, damages, safety concerns or documentation irregularities.
- Maintain accurate records of supplies, deliveries, logistics activities and outstanding documentation.
- Support supplier and transporter coordination, performance monitoring and logistics cost control.
- Ensure assigned activities comply with company procedures, client requirements, safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain professional relationships with clients, suppliers, transporters and other operational stakeholders.
- Perform other supply, logistics and operational duties assigned by management.
Key Performance Expectations
The Supply & Logistics Officer is expected to demonstrate accuracy, accountability, integrity, professionalism, timely communication, attention to detail, cost consciousness and effective coordination.
The successful candidate must ensure that every assigned supply and delivery is properly executed, documented and accounted for.
Minimum Requirements
- OND, HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Transport Management, Maritime Studies or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in logistics, petroleum product supply, transportation, procurement or operations is an advantage.
- Good communication, documentation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic digital record management.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and travel to supplier or client locations when required.
Accountability
The Supply & Logistics Officer shall operate within management-approved procedures and shall not independently alter product quantities, prices, suppliers, delivery locations or commercial terms without proper authorisation.
